Technical Physics

Explaining on a chalkboard

Have you always wanted to understand how the laws of nature drive technological developments? Are you fascinated by everything related to engineering and physics, from the smallest particles to the largest systems? Then the Technical Physics program is the perfect choice for you. In this program, you will learn how to apply scientific principles in technical innovations and solve problems using physics.

What will you learn during the program?

In the Technical Physics program, you will gain a solid foundation in physics, mathematics, and engineering sciences. You will learn how to model complex systems, conduct experiments, and analyze technological issues. Topics such as materials science, electrical engineering, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics will be covered. You will develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills that you can apply in the development of new technologies and innovations.

Practical experience and current themes

The program has a strong focus on practical experience. You will work on experiments in modern laboratories, participate in projects, and conduct research on current technologies such as nanotechnology, energy transition, and mechatronics. You will also intern at companies or research institutions, where you can apply your knowledge to real technological problems. This prepares you for a career in science, technology, or engineering.

Duration and costs of the program

The full-time Technical Physics program lasts three years (in an accelerated track) or four years and starts in September. The tuition fee is €2,530 per year (legal rate 2025-2026). Additionally, you should account for costs for books, lab materials, and a laptop. Different study durations and rates apply for the part-time or dual variants.
