What will you learn during the training?
In the Social Work program, you will develop skills to support people in improving their living conditions. You will learn how to conduct conversations, analyze problems, and set up support processes. Self-reflection, ethics, and professional communication are central to this. You will delve into topics such as poverty, addiction, parenting, debt issues, and social participation.
Practical experience and current themes
From the first year, you will do internships and work on practical assignments in the social domain. You will be taught by experienced instructors and guest speakers from the field and learn to work with methodologies that are applied in practice. Themes such as inclusion, cultural diversity, safety, and digitalization in social services are covered extensively. This way, you develop a broad perspective and a solid professional compass.
Duration and costs of the training
The full-time Social Work program lasts four years and starts in September. The tuition fee is €2,530 per year (statutory rate 2025-2026). Additionally, there are costs for books, readers, and possibly a laptop. Other study durations and rates apply for the part-time or dual variant.
