What do you learn during the training?
In the Journalism training, you learn how to search for, write, edit, and publish news. You develop skills in conducting interviews, analyzing information, and telling stories that engage the audience. You learn to work with various media, from print and radio to digital platforms and social media. You also gain insight into ethics, press freedom, and the role of journalism in society.
Practical experience and current themes
The Journalism training has a strong focus on practice. You write for the student magazine, work on reports, and gain experience by interning at newsrooms or media companies. You learn how to translate current themes such as politics, culture, sustainability, and technology into journalism. This prepares you for a versatile and dynamic career in the media.
Duration and costs of the training
The full-time Journalism program lasts four years and starts in September. The tuition fee is €2,530 per year (legal rate 2025-2026). Additionally, there are costs for books, software, and possibly travel or production costs for reports. The part-time or dual variant has different study hours and rates.
